It’s The Slightly Revised Skoda Kodiaq
Auto News

The Skoda Kodiaq… it is the big friendly SUV. God damn, we love Skoda and the Skodiacs (ergo Skoda) have done it again. Here today, presented to us before our very eyes is the revised Kodiaq. Five years in the making, now showroom ready and proudly wearing new design changes like a boss. It was bound to happen, we knew it was only a matter of time before the mid-cycle update was processed. And at first glance, the changes appear minimal. But a great deal of sacrifices has gone into making the transition shift look as smooth as possible.

Anyway, enough of the deliberate word filling. The Kodiaq’s refresh mirrors Skoda’s current design trend. As with any design refresh within the auto industry, it is limited. The design revisions include new front and rear bumpers, side sills, revised and slimmer front and rear LED light clusters. The new larger and evenly spaced Skoda typeface is now emblazoned on the rear, to remind you and other road users of how little shame you have in owning and driving a Skoda.

The engine range is business as usual, with two petrol engines and two diesel variants. The Petrol engine range starts off with the 149bhp 1.5-litre TSI or the 197bhp 2.0-litre variant. the 6-speed manual is available for entry-level trims while the 7-speed auto is optional or standard depending on how much money you have. There is no need to mention the diesel because no one is buying them.

The interior is mostly unchanged which means an 8.0-inch infotainment system for entry-level models. A 9-inch variant is either an option or standard on higher trim models. Entry-level models get Skoda’s new two-spoke steering wheels, while the three-spoke is reserved for… you guessed it, higher trim variants. AWD is also reserved for higher trim models.
