YouTuber WhistlinDiesel AKA Cody Detwiler decided to take his $50,000 Dodge Hellcat and turn it into an Amish-inspired horse-drawn carriage. The Dodge Hellcat is pure Americana, powered by a supercharged and intercooled pushrod 16-valve V-8, iron block and aluminum heads, port fuel injection. In simple terms, this translates into 797 hp @ 6300 rpm. and 707 lb-ft of torque 4500 rpm. The car enthusiast bought the Hellcat just to destroy it.

But reality is stranger than fiction, earlier in the year Detwiler accidentally shot himself in the head after a day out at a shooting range. A ricocheting bullet struck the YouTuber in the head. Very obviously he survived, suffering a nasty cut to the forehead. And reality gets even stranger when you realize Cody Detwiler makes a very comfortable living from YouTube.

Detwiler claims he reached 170mph on the highway with the buggy wheels equipped to his Hellcat, but we reckon that’s just fiction being stranger than reality.
