And now Lexus is rewarding their loyal UK customers with a special UK edition of the UX SUV. The all-new specification Lexus UX Premium Sport Edition… is actually based on the UX Premium Sport.

The UK Lexus marketing team thought hard and long about how to extract more money from gullible buyers by simply adding the nouns “sport” and “edition” to the UX lexicon. Thus was born the UX 250h Premium Sport Edition. In addition to the Premium Pack, the Premium Sport Edition adds 18-inch alloy wheels, a black grille, roof rails and side-mirror caps to the exterior.

The interior is boosted with the addition of fake leather re-marketed as Tahara to justify the price premium. Lexus has stuffed a load of technology into the bargain such as reversing cameras, heated seats etc. But our favorite is the Intelligent Clearance Sonar system. Lexus actually assumes its customers will go off-road.

The UX Sport Edition is also fully loaded with the Lexus Saftey System+. The passive and active technology includes daytime cyclist detection. This ground-breaking technology enables the user to text and drink a cup of Costa Coffee without having to worry about the legal ramifications of distracted driving.

Power is supplied by the 2.0-liter four-cylinder 181 hp hybrid which is available in 2WD or 4WD variants. The Lexus UX 250h Premium Sport Edition is on sale in the UK right now and starts at £33,150.
