Former F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg just bought a brand new Rimac Concept 2. But this is no concept show car, it’s for real and has a real price of $2,000,000. As you may well know the Rimac Concept 2 is a pure electric ultra-car with 1,914 horsepower, a 1.85-second 0-60 mph time, and a max speed of 258 mph. And to top it off you also get a 400-mile EV range, claimed of course.

Obviously, you need deep pockets to afford such a vehicle and with an estimated net worth of around $50,000,000, Rosberg has very deep pockets. A car such as the Rimac Concept 2 is as much an investment as much as it is a car to be enjoyed day-to-day. Only 150 units will ever be made and as a result, the value will accumulate not depreciate.

So Nico has already made a return on his investment before he even gets behind the wheel. But the real question is this… why doesn’t Rosberg wear a face mask? does he think his many millions will protect him from Covid-19? Only time will tell.
