Tesla Model 3 Performance Leaves A Yamaha R6 For Dead in Drag Race

Viewing not required… because we already revealed what happens in the banner headlines. The Tesla Model 3 Performance, hands down, beats a Yamaha R6 sportbike. The Yamaha R6 costs £12,000, it is powered by a 599.8 cc transverse inline 4 cylinder engine and weighs 190kg (419IL). The R6 has around 120bhp, is able to reach 0-62mph in 3.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 160mph.

The Tesla Model 3 Performance retails at £56,490, has around 449bhp and is able to crunch the 0-62mph time in 3.2 seconds before reaching a top speed of 162mph. At 1,847kg, the Model 3 Performance weighs significantly more than R6.

So you would expect the lighter better power-to-weight-ratio Yamaha R6 to win this drag race? Wrong, as the banner headlines already revealed. This was a total victory for the Tesla and shows that 4 wheels (and AWD) are better than two wheels and analog technology.
