This Is What The World looked Like In 1999

The world was a different place in 1999. Being a Millennial it’s hard to believe I am actually just a few years older than this Bentley stretch Limo from 1999. Doug Demuro points out that this is no aftermarket stretch limo but a factory order. This Bentley was made when Rolls Royce and Bentley were one of the same companies before they were divided and acquired by VW and BMW.

Being a factory order, this will be a properly engineered and built stretch limo. And it is, it’s bespoke through and through the courtesy of Bentley’s Mulliner division. Only the truly wealthy and therefore disconnected could afford to order such a vehicle.

De Muro’s review reveals the Bentley to be in real-world terrific condition. Such a vehicle may look vulgar for today’s tastes, because as DeMuro says stretch limos are often associated with stag parties and proms. But Bentley’s bespoke Mulliner division did – as usual – a classy job.
