The Jeep Gladiator in civilian trim is a $33,000 – $43,000 Pickup 4×4-SUV-type-thing. It’s big, it’s brash and it’s typically American. It’s all the pickup vehicle you will ever require. If you do indeed require such a vehicle. But a Florida based tuning company thinks otherwise. TR3 Performance has taken a stock Jeep Gladiator and… yep tuned the hell out of it, that is to say, tuned the “Hellcat” out of it. 

TR3 Performance has removed the Gladiators standard V6 engine and inserted an “off the shelf” Dodge 6.2-litre supercharged unit. All in all the TR3 Performance Hellcat – Gladiator has 707bhp and 650Ib (882Nm)ft of torque. But this automotive up-cycling isn’t all about straight-line performance.

The Hellcat has been commissioned for a private client who wanted a more off-road biased. Presumably to go on multiple smugglers run into Mexico or do a bit of border patrol. Massive 17-inch off-road tires, upgraded Fox Shocks will allow the new owner to belittle any potential immigrant threat.

Americans, by definition, are all immigrants, the exception being the Native Americans. But this purpose-built vehicle offers up a self-righteous path to make America great and Apple Pie again. Like the good old days. A Magnaflow exhaust, upgraded/cutaway front and rear bumpers simply to add to the “border patrol” look.

And let’s not forget the addition of hooks and winches, which begs the question, what the hell is the owner going to do with this modified Gladiator? Hunt bears? kangaroos perhaps?
