We have to say yes and double yes to the banner headlines. Even our cold, cynical steel hearts pulsed uncontrollably at the sight of this daring looking supercar from W Motors. So who are W Motors? They created the worlds most expensive supercar, remember the Lycan Hypersport which costs nearly £4m GBP new? The Lycan featured in the Furious 7 and the Dubai Police Force recently purchased one, only seven Lycans were ever made. W Motors were founded in Lebanon but are actually based in Dubai, several European auto manufactures were behind the development of the company. The reason why this supercar manufacture is based in the Middle East is because the FFA Private Bank of Lebanon stumped up $13million USD of capital investment. The Fenyr Supersport like the Lycan before was designed by the founder of W Motors Ralph Debbas who is a graduate of the renowned Automotive Design Course at Coventry University in England. Makes you proud to be British. And We say the Fenyr looks out of this world awesome. But you might require and awesome bank account with equally awesome funds. For sure the Fenyr is going to cost nearly as much as the Lycan. The Fenyr was unveiled at the Dubai Auto Show and will be powered by a Porsche RUF sourced 4.0-litre, twin-turbo flat-six engine which produces 900hp and 1200Nm (885 lb ft) of torque. Top speed and the 0-62mph times are also rated as awesome. The Fenyr is built around an aluminium chassis while the body work is made from carbon fibre. Only 25 Fenyr Supersports will ever be made so estimate a price tag of around £2.5 million GBP. The Fenyr won’t be built in Dubai or Lebanon nor will it be built by under paid migrant workers sweating it out in a non-air conditioned industrial factory. As with the Lycan the Fenyr Supersport will actually be made by one of W Motors European partners, most probably Magna Steyr. Magna Steyr are like automotive contract manufactures who build cars for Mercedes, Audi and quite a few other car manufactures.
