Superb Skoda Begins UK Retail Re-opening After Pandemic Enforced Shutdown

UK Skoda Retail Reopens after pandemic enforced shutdowns, dailycarblog

Over the past ten weeks Skoda has ensured aftersales facilities have remained open for emergency services, key workers, and emergency repairs. From June 1st further services will be safely reintroduced and adhere to all government guidelines. Working under government guidelines, Skoda will introduce a contactless service for customers collecting a new vehicle, which will be conducted with minimal physical interaction in a dedicated space thoroughly prepared before each handover appointment.

Skoda retailers will follow up with a virtual appointment to answer any customer queries and explain new features. A number of retailers are also offering home deliveries to customers with customers advised to check in advance to see what services are being offered.

For customers who would prefer an online experience, Skoda has developed alternative arrangements for a range of services that would normally be carried out face-to-face. Retailers can also use a connected camera and screen sharing to do virtual tours of models, handovers of cars, renew finance agreements, and also set up new agreements with new customers.

By using Zoom and the Skoda Digital Assistant, existing and new customers can receive the Skoda retail experience without leaving their home. Calls can be scheduled at a time that suits the customers, and can be arranged by contacting the retailer.

All Skoda retailers have implemented government social distancing requirements and have installed new directional signage to guide customers. Other measures, such as only allowing customers to park in alternate bays have also been introduced, along with the availability of hand sanitiser dispensers and sanitisation sprays for vehicles prior to handover.

Skoda’s Virtual Showroom will continue to be available seven days a week. Customers can speak directly to a product expert and be shown round the car they are interested in. The Virtual Showroom is available between 11am and 9pm weekdays and 11am and 7pm on weekends. ŠKODA’s Virtual Showroom can be accessed at www.skoda.co.uk.
