This Nissan GT-R 50 Will Cost An Eye-Popping $1m USD
Auto News

A $1 million USD Nissan sounds like the stuff of unnatural nightmares, but that nightmare became a reality when Nissan finally revealed the pre-production GT-R50, a celebratory collaboration with Italdesign. Loosely based on the GT-R design language the GT-R 50 amps the style and performance. But it will be limited to just 50 units, such scarcity of numbers will ensure that demand will be high.

However, the exotic looks sit on a regular Nissan GT-R chassis tuned by Nismo who have increased power of the 3.8-litre V6 twin-turbo from 592bhp to 710bhp. The GT-R 50 was first announced in 2018 to celebrate the coincidental 50th anniversaries of the GT-R and Italdesign. The GT-R 50 will be hand-built by Italdesign brands.

Nissan says that the GT-R 50 has received significant interest, with many customers placing a deposit. However a few build slots still remain, which means that the interest isn’t as significant as Nissan would want you to believe.

Nevertheless, it’s an interesting collaboration, but I think we here at DCB will have to save for the next 100 years to buy a Nissan GT-R 50.
