Bollinger B2CC Chassis Is For The United States of Hick-America
Auto News

Bollinger, the New York startup EV Inc, and makers of the all-electric B1 SUV and B2 Pickup truck has revealed its Class 3 E-Chassis B2CC platform. Naturally, the B2CC is based on the B2 pickup truck chassis. A Class 3 vehicle is so designated because it refers to a truck classification, which is typically based upon the maximum loaded weight of the truck. In the United States of Hick-America a Class 3 vehicle is viewed as a medium-sized truck.

Bollinger will offer the B2CC in two and four-door body-styles either with a cutaway cab or as full cab variant. The underlying chassis was designed to be adaptable from the word go, meaning it will be offered in various wheelbase lengths.

The company has identified the commercial truck sector which will allow end customers to adapt the loading area to their specific commercial needs. For example, Hick-America can adapt the B2CC into a tow truck, or a mobile shooting station for the bear hunting season.

The B2CC will use the same electric powertrain as the B2 Pickup Truck. The Bollinger E-Chassis houses a twin-electric motor AWD setup and is powered by a 120kWh battery pack which gives a theorectial range of 200 miles on one single charge.

The B2 Pickup Truck has a power output of 612bhp, 668 ft-lb torque, a towing capacity of 7,500-lbs and a payload capacity of 5,000-lbs. It also features self-leveling suspension and superfast-charging. The Bollinger B2CC will launch in 2021 and is expected to cost around $100,000 USD.
