This is the 2020 Peugeot 2008, leaked online it was. It’s always a disgruntled employee or at least that’s our theory when such an online leak occurs. And Peugeot is the latest (probably not the last) to suffer the indignity of an online leak. But thanks to that disgruntled employee we now have a future glimpse of the next generation Peugeot 2008. And the compact SUV looks good, the exterior design accents many design details from the 3008. Without making it look like a 3008.

So Pegeout decided they may as well reveal more details. Well we don’t know too much other than what we know. WHich isn’t too much. We do know the engine line up will be similar to the current generation 2020 Peugeot 2008.  Petrol, diesel however all new electric variants will join the line-up.

The e-2008 will be an all-electric model powered by a 50kWh battery pack with an electric motor power output of 136bhp. The e-2008 will have a claimed range of 193 miles. Rapid charging will offer a re-charge rate of up to 80 percent in 30 minutes.

We are not too sure if Peugeot will offer the e-2008 as a Hybrid or plug-in hybrid. We do know the 2020 Peugeot 2008 will be 14 cm longer and slightly wider than the previous generation 2008. Prices will be revealed at the next available press release.
