In a rare moment of innovative thought from Ford, the McDonalds of the automotive industry has announced plans to make the McDonalds of electric vehicles. Ford’s very own super-double-whammy-whopper, otherwise known as the Ford F150 Pickup will made available as an all-electric derivative.

The Ford F150 is Americas best selling vehicle. Over 900k F150s were sold in the USA alone. The next generation F150 will arrive in 2020.
Ford will aims to electrify the F-Series, from the electric battery to hybrid options. Electrification is fast becoming the industry standard these days.
But as usual, Ford is always the last to react. However, Ford says their electrification strategy is designed to futureproof its pickup product range.
Tesla is also working on an electric Pick-up truck. Newcomers, Rivian will aim to begin selling their electric pickup truck in 2020.
Is Ford reacting to the competition? Yes, it is. However, expect an electric F150 to be expensive. Like, 4 big super-duper-mahoosive-whoppers expensive.
