VW Touareg Reviewed By Librarian Styled By A Charity Shop

We don’t know what it is about YouTube channel Autogefuhl but they do require a personal stylist. Reviewing the VW Touareg in clothes that appear to have just been purchased from a local charity shop isn’t smart casual, it’s more smart-hobo-ish. But it’s still a better look than Tomas’ jumper tucked into his pants look.

Nevertheless, it is what it is, personal styling aside the VW Touareg is now available to order in the UK with entry-level prices starting from £51k.

The VW Touareg is the company’s flagship model of models, the basic SEL model rests on 19-inch alloy-wheels and as you would expect for a car costing £51k, is offered with a host of very nice standard features.

So expect feature packed technologies such as a fully digital driver and touchscreen environment, the full suite of active and passive safety technologies, LED headlights and the latest Bluetooth 5.0 standard, which means easy smartphone integration.

Top of the range, fully loaded models will cost £58k, only one engine will be available, the 3.0-litre V6, 282bhp turbo-diesel that will send power to all four wheels via an 8-speed auto.

At a later date in 2018 the 3.0-litre turbo diesel will be joined by a second and lesser powered 228bhp variant and a 3.0-litre, 336bhp turbo petrol unit.

Q4, 2018 will see the introduction of a 4.0-litre, 417bhp V8 turbo-diesel, plans have yet to be revealed about a hybridized version.

If The VW Toureg looks somewhat vaguely familiar then you may be onto something, it shares the same platform used by the Bentley Bentayga.
