So if you are waiting for your  brand new car to arrive, whether it is an Aston Martin or Daihatsu, then you are required to break-in the engine, brakes and tyres for the first 1,000 miles. That means using half-throttle, using less than 4,000rpm. Don’t use cruise control either. Oh… and don’t use your new vehicle for short distance trips, don’t tow anything and just don’t stress out the engine. The reason? you actually need to wear the engine cylinders down gradually.
