Indycar Test Canopy Style Driver Protection, Aeroscreen Gets A Thumbs Up

As the motor-racing seasons draws close, testing is underway during the pre-season. Formula One will introduce a driver head protection system for 2018, the Halo is controversial purely because it looks unstylish, but it is a safety system that has been endorsed by all drivers.

A fighter jet style shield was tested by Ferrari but Sebastian Vettel said the wrap around aerocreen made him feel dizzy.

Indycar have decided to test the aeroscreen fashioned from the same material used for fighter jet canopies. And it seems to have been given a thumbs up by four-time Indycar champion Scott Dixon.
