The Porsche 964 Turbo seemed to be everywhere during the late 80’s and early 90’s despite Porsche being a relatively low volume manufacture back in the day. Porsche turbocharged the hell out of the 3.3-litre flat six, 315bhp was a lot of hp back in the early 1990’s.
Back then 911’s were as tail happy as a Dolphin somersaulting out of the ocean water, hedgerows were littered with the carcasses 911’s (964’s).
Today a 911 Turbo produces over 540bhp and 660 Nm of torque (710 Nm with overboost) and cost close to £150k, the original will always be the best, no?
