This was meant to be a presentation about the new AMG GT Concept, a Porsche Panamera rival a concept that hints at the future styling direction of Mercedes’ core vehicle models. The presentation at the Geneva Motorshow was fronted by the CEO, Dieter Zetsche, but it was overshadowed by his PR advised fashion style.
It seems Zetsche has gone for a boyband inspired look sports jacket, casual shirt, slim jeans and Vans trainers. This look doesn’t mix with a 60 something and that stupid oversized moustache.
Zetsche normally looks like Heihachi Mishima, a fictional character from the Tekken fighting video game.
Zetsche is the type of individual who looks more at home in a Lederhosen outfit, spending hours in a moth eaten wingback chair in his woodwork studio whittling away at a piece of wood while smoking a pipe and looking out of his hut high on a remote mountain range in Mackenburg.
You see we should be talking about the AMG GT Concept but ‘Mishima San’ has placed himself centre stage.
