This Is How The New Porsche Panamera Should Have Looked
Auto News

We all know that the Porsche Panamera had one obvious flaw… It looked awful. We all know that Porsche make the best handling cars. And we can say that without being paid up members of the motoring press who give biased, favorable reviews of Porsche in return for a never ending supply of Porsche press cars.

We also know that the all-new Porsche Panamera, which will go on sale in 2017, now looks much better. But could the new design language have been bettered?

Yes, always yes. Porsche is understood to be in the final testing phases of the Shooting Brake version of the Panamera.

The term Shooting Brake is a posh way to say “estate” or if you are from Donald Trump’s America “Station Wagon”.

However, we can’t help but think that the Panamera has always had a whiff of the Shooting Brake styling.

The Panamera Shooting Brake is said to be based on the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept that was revealed back in the day of 2012.

Porsche has yet to reveal full model details regarding the Shooting Brake but expects much of the powertrains and model specs to be carried over from the 2017 Panamera.

Sadly the concept rendering above is just that, a concept rendering. Expect the Shooting Brake Panamera to retain about 75 percent of the 2017 Panamera’s body.

Meanwhile, Porsche has revealed interior design details of the new 2017 Panamera, it’s all ‘connected’ these days.
