Just how do you drum up interest for the Formula E Championship? By arranging a publicity stunt and that’s exactly what the marketing team behind the all electric open-wheel race series did, quite literally it is a publicity-stunt.
So here you have Hollywood stunt man Damien Walters whose movie credits include Captain America, Skyfall and Assassin’s Creed.
However Formula E are claiming that Walters proposed the stunt, a blind backflip over an oncoming Formula E car.
We’re a bit sceptical about who said who to whatever but performing a blind back flip is an unique way to drum up interest in an open-wheel racing series for hippies.
Unfortunately Walters is a rather skilful stunt guy and performed the stunt without incident. Damn!
